A classical musician, Oana Ivașcu studied oboe at the Musical Performance Faculty of the National University of Music, Bucharest. Open to innovation and experiment, Oana is familiar to audiences thanks to the groups she has founded and in which she performs: Imago Mundi, Allegria, Bucharest AV, and the Rhapsody Chamber Orchestra. She has worked extensively with major concert orchestras, including the Georges Enesco Philharmonic, the Radio Chamber Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the Ion Dacian National Operetta Theatre, the Oltenia Philharmonica (Craiova), and the Sinfonia Orchestra (Bucharest). She has given concerts in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Tunisia, Turkey, UK and USA.
